The Timber Fencing Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is a comprehensive document outlining the safety steps associated with building timber fences (approx. 1800mm high) on construction sites/ residential areas. It does not cover wire fence installation.
Remember: The content of the SWMS should be refined over time and include consultation with workers and other persons conducting a business or undertaking. Prior to each new activity, the SWMS must be reviewed and revised to ensure it applies to the high risk construction work and the actual site you are working at.

This SWMS may involve working around mobile plant which is considered high risk construction work as defined by the WHS Regulations 2011. Ensure a SMWS is developed and implemented for any tasks involving high risk construction work and for any hazard not covered in the SWMS.
