This Safe Work Procedure or Work Method Statement has been developed for employers to be able to give direct instructions on how to Concrete Render Safely. The document can be used as part of an Induction Process, submitted with a tender or simply implemented into your existing OHS System.
Additional Safety Information for Cement Rendering
When Cement Rendering:
- Check that all guard rails, mid rails and toe boards are in place to prevent a person falling.
- Ensure surfaces have been prepared correctly.
- Check sand for cleanliness. It should be free from clay, animal faeces or plant matter.
- Apply render onto the surface by floating with a steel float. The render should be smoothed as work progresses.
- When finished, the area is to be cleared of any excess material.
