The Concrete Formwork Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is a comprehensive 14 page procedure outlining the safety steps for Concrete Formwork. 

The Concrete Formwork procedure is ready to use and is not a blank template. Simply add your company details, ABN, and include any site specific details or risks and make it specific to the task at hand. It is then ready for printing and to be incorporated as part of your overall OHS System. 

The Concrete Formwork procedure can be used as part of your OHS inductions, for Tool box talks or tender applications.

Formwork is the surface, supports and framing used to define the shape of concrete until the concrete is self-supporting. It includes the forms on which the concrete is poured, the supports to withstand the loads imposed by the forms and the concrete and any bracing added to ensure stability.

When Using Concrete Formwork:

• Certification of design must be provided by a suitably qualified person.
• All framing must be completed so it complies with on site design documentation and manufactures requirements.
• Concrete should be inspected before dismantle.
