General Jigsaw Safety Information :
The six page Safe Work Method Statement outlines the safety steps required to operate a Jigsaw safely.
Jigsaws need to be used with caution and appropriate safety procedures. The Jigsaw procedure is not a blank template. Safety procedures can be edited or customised in MS Word if required.
Jigsaw Safety Notes
Before Operating A Jigsaw :
- Jig saws should always be used with a safety switch.
- Ensure the work area is clear of debris. Example – previous off cuts have been moved to a safe position.
- Check the trigger switch and Lock-on button operates correctly and does not stick.
- Check the blade roller guide is adjusted so that it is in slight contact with the rear of the blade.
