Start Checks for Using a Front End Loader
Inspect Loader. Ensure:
- No fluid leaks
- Hoses/couplings not cracked/split
- Operator controls labelled
- Safety decals in place and
legible
- Flashing lights/reversing beepers
functioning (if installed)
- Rear-view mirrors are present,
functional and adjusted correctly
- Cabin windows are clean and
undamaged (if present)
- Work lighting sufficient and
functional
- SWL displayed (where required)
- ROPS installed (where required)
- Tyres are undamaged, even
pressure.
- Bucket attachment compatible
- Locking pins/clips for
attachments are available and undamaged
- All safety guards are in place
and undamaged
- Bucket not cracked. Check teeth
for weld cracks or signs or wear/weakness.
- Seatbelt present and in good
condition.
- Fire extinguisher present and
secured
- No debris, oil or tools present
on deck, walkway or steps.
- All stored items in cabin are
secured.
