General Circular Saw Safety Information:

The three page Safe Work Procedure outlines the Safety Steps required to operate a hand held Circular Saw Safely.

This Safe Work Procedure or Work Method Statement has been developed for employers to be able to give direct instructions on how to use a Circular Saw Safely.

The document can be used as part of an Induction Process, submitted with a tender or simply implemented into your existing OHS System.

Circular Saws:

  • Can generate noise in excess of 85 dB(A) so hearing protection is vital.
  • Are designed to cut and will cut through hands, arms etc. just as easy as wood. Safe work procedures must be adopted and adhered to.
  • Are designed for right-hand operation; left-handed operation requires greater concentration and training.
