General Concrete Rendering Safety Information:
The Cement Rendering Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is a comprehensive 8 page procedure outlining the safety steps for Cement Rendering.
The Cement Rendering procedure is ready to use and is not a blank template. Simply add your company details, ABN, and include any site specific details or risks and make it specific to the task at hand. It is then ready for printing and to be incorporated as part of your overall OHS System.
The Cement Rendering procedure can be used as part of your OHS inductions, for Tool box talks or tender applications.
When Cement Rendering:
- Check that all guard rails, mid rails and toe boards are in place to prevent a person falling.
- Ensure surfaces have been prepared correctly.
- Check sand for cleanliness. It should be free from clay, animal faeces or plant matter.
- Apply render onto the surface by floating with a steel float. The render should be smoothed as work progresses.
- When finished, the area is to be cleared of any excess material.
