Drivers Manual Information:
This 23 page Drivers Manual has been developed to provide guidance and information for Drivers to assist in the prevention of injury or illness.
Road accidents are the cause of most fatalities in the road transport industry, and Drivers fatigue is often a factor. Workers have also been killed or seriously injured after falling from the top of their trucks while loading, checking or securing goods. More than 80% of severe injuries among road transport workers, however, are sustained while not driving. Most of these injuries are the result of manual handling, slips, trips and falls and being injured during loading/unloading practices involving forklifts.
