Pre-Operational Inspection:
Conduct visual inspections. Check:
- Safety switch present, tested and functional
- Hoses undamaged, secured, air-tight and free of chemicals
- Suctions, fittings, grills grate covers etc are secured
- All dials and gauges are at correct settings for tasks, visible and functional
- Electrical leads and equipment are free of damage / chemicals and clear of water (including portable equipment such as radios, lights, and extension leads)
- Underwater lighting is free of damage/cracks
- Sufficient hose length
- Pumps, motors etc are guarded to prevent access to danger areas
- Vacuum pole is adjustable, free of damage and chemicals
- Brushes on vacuum head are sufficient length and un-compacted
- Filter is clean and replaced as required
