The Safe Work Method Statement outlines the Safety Steps required to operate a Dust Extractor Safely.

Dust Extractor Safety Notes

Before Operating A Dust Extractor:

  • No person shall service the dust extractor, unless trained to do so.
  • Some dry timbers can self-ignite.
  • Have a Class A fire extinguisher on standby.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke around the equipment.
  • Lock-Off the extraction equipment.
  • If conditions are unsafe, evacuate to at least 50 meters.
