House Transportation Safety Notes:
- Do not begin transport if visibility is less than 250m (due to heavy rain, smoke, dust, etc.).
- If visibility is reduced to less than 250m during transport, stop travel, park in a safe location and wait until it improves.
- Obey road rules, speed limits, traffic signs and signals. For WA - Do not exceed 80km/hour (Check state laws)
- Be aware of increased braking/stopping distance when carrying loads. Allow sufficient distance between other vehicles.
- Pull over regularly (when safe) to allow passing traffic.
- Maintain regular communication between transport vehicle and pilots.
Pilot:
- Divided road – travel behind RAV
- Non-divided – travel in front
- Maintain distance from RAV to provide sufficient warning to others – consider speed, visibility, weather and geography of road.
