Operation: (extract only)

Loading cable drum onto trailer: Ensure

  • Insert steel centre pivot shaft through spool
  • Unspool cable and drawbar assembly from winch and attach to centre pivot shaft
  • Check shackles are correctly fitted and wound through to full thread (if shackle pin does not wind all the way in do not use- replace with correctly working shackle
  • Do not over tighten shackles
  • Chains are not kinked
  • Ensure cable drum correctly aligned and commence winching operations
  • Ensure all persons stay clear of pinch points during loading operations
  • Keep fingers clear of winch spool during operations
  • No person stands behind/under cable drum during loading operations
  • When drum is in position and firmly positioned, lock brake on winch
  • Attach locking pins to axle shaft prevent movement ensuring pin is seated correctly
  • Raise loading ramps and securely attach for transport
  • Remove wheel chocks
