This OHS Drivers Safety Manual has been developed to provide guidance and information for drivers to assist in the prevention of injury or illness.
Road accidents are the cause of most fatalities in the road transport industry, and drivers fatigue is often a factor. Workers have also been killed or seriously injured after falling from the top of their trucks while loading, checking or securing goods. More than 80% of severe injuries among road transport workers, however, are sustained while not driving. Most of these injuries are the result of manual handling, slips, trips and falls and being injured during loading/unloading practices involving forklifts.
Communicate your orgnisations dedication to providing all relevant workers with a workplace that is, as far as is reasonable, safe and without risks to health and safety. This Drivers’ Safety Manual has been developed to provide guidance and information for drivers employed by your organisation to prevent injury or illness.

Trying to research then write a policy on vehicle speed and procedure while covering all the legislation I found rather daunting. Already a purchaser of SafetyCulture items I researched their policies an found exactly what I was trying to prepare in a way that suited the business and employees. The editable nature allowed me to fine tune areas that are critical to us. Thankyou!
