A violent emergency incident can be defined as when an injury has occurred from a violent event or there is an immediate threat of physical harm or injury. Workers should always consider their personal safety above all else in emergency situations. Examples: Armed Hold-up, Terror / Hostage event, violence between colleagues, irate customer.
The aim of this policy is to outline the processes that need to be in place to assist staff and customers in the case of a terror related event.
The Policy can be used as a stand-alone document or incorporated into your existing OHS Management System.
