V Cut Mitre Saw Safe Operating Procedure Extract Only

  • DO NOT switch on the saw until you have checked that there is nothing in direct contact with the saw blade.
  1. Adjust blade, gauges, settings and fence as relevant to the cut and depth of workpiece
  2. Turn the saw ON
  3.  Position workpiece
  4.  Activate clamps
  5.  Make the cut
  6.  When the cut is made, turn the saw OFF
  7. Wait for the blade to retract before removing the workpiece
    • WARNING: Do not remove swarf from the blade by hand. Use a stick or brush.
  • Regularly clean up around the work area and machine during the shift to reduce trip hazards. Store workpieces in a safe manner so it does not create additional hazards.
