Plumbing - Water Jetting Drains Safe Work Method Statement

This SWMS covers general hazards associated with the operation of a Truck Mounted Hydro-Jet for use in clearing blocked sewers and drains. This includes use of the truck, including pre-start and operational use, traffic and pedestrian control, and use of pressurised equipment.

This SWMS does not include controls for working in a confined space or pit.  A separate, dedicated SWMS must be put in place and utilised for confined space work.

Remember: The content of the SWMS should be refined over time and include consultation with workers and other persons conducting a business or undertaking. Prior to each new activity, the SWMS must be reviewed and revised to ensure it applies to the high risk construction work and the actual site you are working at.
